(whoops totally missed the notif for this) [email]
To Mai: could I get an IC explanation of hiatus comas? [voice]
[voice] I apologize for the delay.
[There are a few clicks.]
I am aware of your stay, yes. Someone had found you unconscious on the side of the road if I recall correctly...

[...oh. That doesn't sound good. As if she wasn't worried enough over this.]
Would you be able to explain what happened? I was told some of it when I got discharged, but I didn't really understand.

Realistically someone would say something about this.
Don't know if you've received complaints directly yet, but nearly all of us visitors are suffering from body temperature problems. We either have fevers or low body temperatures regardless of the environmental conditions. If you know any thing about what caused this or know someone who might have an explanation or theory I urge you to please say something. We don't know if this problem is going to end or if we'll keep suffering or get even worse. I can understand if there are details you'd rather not reveal because mass health issues can cause panic, but we need some sort of answers especially if the local government expects for us to continue cooperating.
Mai, if you see a surplus of visitors in the hospital with heatstroke or hypothermia, now you know why. In fact it might be good for the hospital to reach out with their help options. I ought to ask: Is there any medical treatment available that could help relieve our symptoms or better yet cure this problem?
text;
We haven't directly, but we have been keeping an eye on the network and have noticed. Currently, we have been discussing this with our scientists and will ask Mai to post an official explanation within the next few hours.
They have assured us that it's temporary, and we ask that you share that assurance until then.
Irene,
Visitor Liason

When he went to confront people at the gov building, he shoved aside some security guards but shortly after getting inside he fainted. Again that country-related-illness. And that's how I've explained his absence for a week- he was sick and fell into a coma for a while.
I post this info here in case any of the NPCs would have messages for him when he wakes up in the hospital. Gov related stuff? Punishment for shoving around the security guards? News on his friends who went home? His medical charts? etc. If there's any thing you think they should say to him.]

They would not have let him speak to those in charge, trying to calm him down first to find out what exactly it was that he wished to know but not letting him inside. When shoved aside, reinforcements would have appeared in time for one to catch him as he lost consciousness.
He will find himself restrained on a bed in the ICU with a call button next to his right hand. There is also a strange remote next to his left. Should he press the power button, a monitor on the other side of the room will turn on and show the date and a copy of his medical records. Most of it is undecipherable due to different terms for medical jargon, but "UNKNOWN CAUSE FOR LOSS OF CONSCIOUSNESS" is noted along with a warning to watch for withdrawal symptoms due to the length of his coma.
There is also someone in a suit and tie standing outside his door. They will alert the doctors that their patient has awakened if he doesn't press the call button first. Regardless of either or, Mai will appear in full doctors' garb and question him. Has it happened before, etc. She will also ask about what had gotten him so upset to "attack a federal officer" and answer to the best of her ability.]

[written letter] To Mai: Seeking IC explanation of revival mechanic
[written letter]
It is am ancient medicinal practice that we have here in the city - a type of magick, in more accurate terms - where we take someone on the verge of death and revive them before they go past the brink of no return. However, in other cases we have to rewind time itself on the deceased's body in order for it to be remedied. Both methods, however, have a strong energy drain effect that makes them more susceptible to withdrawal symptoms, which is why we try to reserve it for moments when we have no choice in order to save their lives.
I hope this answers your question, and please be careful out there. There is a strange chill in the air for the summer months.
Regards,
Mai

A gift to Cyntia from your favorite narcissist
A gift to our favorite narcissist from your favorite boss
She opens it after placing down her briefcase, pulling her compact glasses from her labcoat pocket. Ah yes, definitely his handwriting on the list inside the box. The fact he remembered her favorite flavour of vodka was definitely a sign something was up, however. Seal wasn't broken at least, but-- What was this on the back?
... Well now, a former HYDRA weapon and certain metal man may have just earned themselves a raise. And, for health reasons, a paid day off. JARVIS would inform him of the little message most likely in a few moments.]
Ah, Stark. Good to see your little fanclub is still behaving themselves while I was away. Thanks for the gift box, by the way - and interesting taste in cocktails. Few of them are my personal favorites.
Anyway, I believe you've earned a free day. Enclosed is a little... I believe your country refers to it as a "Christmas bonus." Little late, but what can you do when yours truly recently returned from medical leave?
Spend it wisely.
